UNA ESPECIE MUY PARTICULAR

     Los días pasan y ocurren cosas extrañas en este mundo. Sin embargo, la humanidad sigue viva. En estos momentos, los líderes temen iniciar una guerra global porque saben cuál sería el desenlace. Entran en el juego de llamarlo guerra en estado permanente de tregua. Es y no es. Inician un ataque, pero no lo continúan. Sin embargo, es inevitable que llegue el final. Desde hace mucho tiempo el apocalipsis está previsto. Todos sabemos que llegará, con tal de que no suceda en nuestros tiempos.  En el pasado eso no importaba. Ahora es alarmante porque sabemos que con cada día que pasa, nos acercamos más a ese final. La solución estaría en establecer una paz permanente.  No obstante, la violencia genética que el ser humano conlleva no permite que nadie esté exento de ofenderse ante otra nación. Pero es más alarmante concluir que la humanidad es la única especie que ha evolucionado para extinguirse a sí misma.

Solo nos queda esperar. 

 

                         A PARTICULAR SPECIES 

     Days go by, and strange things happen in this world. Yet, humanity endures. Now, leaders fear starting a global war because they know the outcome. They engage in a game of calling it a war in a state of permanent truce—it is and isn't. They launch an attack but do not follow through. Nevertheless, the true end is inevitable. The apocalypse has long been foreseen. We all know it will come—provided it does not happen in our own time. In the past, that did not matter. Now, it is alarming because with each passing day, we draw closer to that end. The solution would lie in establishing a permanent peace. However, the genetic violence inherent in human beings ensures that no one is immune to taking offense at another nation. Yet, it is even more alarming to conclude that humanity is the only species that has evolved to bring about its own extinction.

All that remains is to wait.
